Running shoes are more than just equipment - they carry runners through a wide variety of situations. Around 260 million people around the world run and they all need the right shoes for their sport. But after around 800 kilometers, they should be replaced. This is because individual parts of the shoe itself, especially the sole, are no longer usable. This means waste, costs and a waste of resources. RUNMATE questions this concept.

Runmate is a circular shoe concept with interchangeable parts. The design is based on a modular, interchangeable sole system that adapts to wear and tear, terrain and running style and can be customized for each area.
The two-part outsole with plug-in connection - The heel area is connected to the forefoot via an innovative plug-in and screw system. If the sole wears out, only the affected element is replaced. 4D technology in the heel and Ultraboost technology in the forefoot combine stability, comfort and flexibility without complicated mechanics. The design is deliberately kept neutral and timeless.
Clean lines, sophisticated materials and a color palette that works for different environments - from the track to the trail. For elite athletes such as Olympians, the shoe is even more customizable: 3D scans enable a bespoke shape that adapts perfectly to the foot.
